Has anyone noticed lately that Gibson's have been shooting up in price? Makes me wish I would have had the foresight to buy about 20 of them 20 years ago along with some Microsoft stock.
Yep me too. I wish I'd bought up some of the Stratocasters that showed up in Jim Marshall's little shop in Hanwell, West London (yes, you see you can go from a little 20 sq yard shop to mega manufacturer). They were usually on the wall for £50, that's about $80 and all were pre CBS. On the other hand I earned £7 a week back then, so £50 represented 7 weeks wages. So you can see how expensive my new Rickenbacker was at £159!
