The Gibson Howard Roberts is a historic guitar designed by one of my guitar heros. First built by Epiphone and then by Gibson this 1976 HR is built on the ES175 platform but with an oval sound hole replacing the "F" holes, floating Humbucker instead of mounted pickups and 251/2 scale length rosewood fretboard instead of the 243/4 inch. The 7 ply binding and Epiphone flower head stock design really sets this guitar apart. The three controls govern volume , mid range cut or boost and treble cut letting the player really dial in a sound. It's deep throaty tone sets this guitar apart from the others.
