anybody working on Rich's bebop solo in F #1?

if anybody can explain the subs he's using i'd greatly appreciate it...

mainly bars 7 and 8 the Am7 where there would normally be an F7, i sort of get this b/c Am7 would the iii-7 chord in the key of F where the F would be an Fmaj7 instead of F7, but i suppose the Am7 is close enough

the 8th bar Abm7 for D7, not sure where that's coming from... i know Ab7 would be a tritone sub for D7 and perhaps the Abm7 is the same just a slight change in chord quality...

anybody have any better explanations

thanks in advance
