Maybe about a year ago a e-mail was sent out about interest in on-line video/DVD lessons to go with the courses that Rich offers. Did anything ever come out of the responses? I know he has the 70 minute DVD that comes with the courses. Have you ever thought about more online video courses? I know there are a few others out there, but its very pricey(in the 1700 range for one course). I know I would benifit from not just listening but also seeing more that relate to the courses.

I think these are a real pain to produce initially. I've looked at the potential for this as well and the main issues are not knowing how many you will sell, what the price points are, routes to market, and getting them made to a high standard is expensive.

There are so many cheapo videos out there on YouTube and audios on iTunes, it's difficult to see how to create strong market positioning. Jimmy Bruno seems to have kicked something off and of course Berklee do it as well - but as you say for quite a lot of dosh. I got an email from berklee recently and all the materials looked good, but I nearly fell off the chair when I got to the price page. Wow - $8000! (That's about the cost of 400 face to face lessons!)

My intent is to produce more videos but I don't think you need one for all the courses. Use your ears and your eyes on the written music. That's where the meat is. There is so much material in the courses it would take several hours of video for each one. The CDs do rehearse and explain everything in detail and the E-courses are really a bargain. Try one you'll like it.
