Hi! I'm new to Guitar College - though I have attended a couple of Rich's workshops at the Christian Musicians Conference in WA State. I have the Student Starter Pack (now called the College Starter Pack?)and and the Blues Courses (#1 and #2).

Do you think I have a chance at being able to get through BOTH Blues courses with just the Student Starter Pack as my background? (It includes the first Theory and Technique book and the first Rhythm book). I've been playing for decades, but have been in a "rut" for many years and am looking forward to starting my journey with these books!

Thanks for your input!

Rich - Hope to see you again in November at Overlake in WA!

Welcome to Guitar College. Yes, I think you can definitely get through both blues courses with the first THeory and technique book and Rhythm book. Rich walks you through all of the solos and licks in the blues books on the recordings, so you'll be able to hear how everything should sound. It may take a bit of practice to get things down, but you'll get it. You may want to get into the second theroy and technique book after you finish the first blues and T&T books. I worked through the first jazz and first T&T books at the same time and then moved up to the next book in line when I finished one.
Best wishes on your progress.

You're welcome. Feel free to post any questions as you go along. This discussion board has a pretty helpful and friendly bunch of people posting.

Yep Airway - that's pretty much how most folks learn using Rich's courses. The two courses at once will give you about an hour a day over about 4-6 months. You might get through it in 3 months if you get a hussle on - but learning is difficult to hurry. Try to apply all you learn to real tunes as you go otherwise you'll get a bit jaded doing mostly technicalities, harmony, theory and the like.
