Today we feature the Standel Super Custom XV that help create Wes Montgomery's smooth jazz tone!
Standel Super Custom XV jazz amps are rare. Wes Montgomery used a Standel Super Custom XV in 1965.
I use my 1968 Gibson L5 to recreate Wes Montgomery’s signature sound and also break out a few of my other favorite guitars to test the Standel with.
We also put the Standel up against a Henriksen Bud 10 for a modern vs. vintage solid-state jazz amp showdown.
Not only that, but we will be answering your questions as well and playing a bunch of great tunes!
